School Bus Out of Service Annual Inspection Ratings
  The following is a list of school bus companies and municpalities that operate more than 20 school buses with Connecticut vehicle registrations. Each year by state law DMV does an annual inspection of the vehicles. This list shows the percentage of those vehicles that were put out of service as a result of DMV's annual inspection at the following bus companies and municipalities.

Consumers Warned About Purchasing Flood-Damaged Vehicles
  Governor Dannel P. Malloy, Attorney General George Jepsen, U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal, the Department of Motor Vehicles and the Connecticut Automotive Retailers Association joined together today to advise consumers purchasing new or used cars to be alert for flood-damaged vehicles following Hurricanes Harvey and Irma that struck the southern United States.

DMV Seeking Requests for Qualifications for Licensing Service Vendors
  The Commissioner is soliciting one or more contractors to renew credentials for and to issue duplicate credentials to the general public (“DMV transactions”) on behalf of DMV in Fairfield and New Haven counties. The goal is to provide efficient service in a manner that focuses on reliability and time-saving measures for the customer, utilizing the contractor’s facilities and personnel. By having customers go to locations other than a DMV branch, wait times are reduced in those DMV offices.

DMV on June 13 to Begin Phase-In of New Program to Mail Driver Licenses, ID Cards
  DMV beginning Tuesday, June 13, will phase-in a new program to mail driver licenses and ID cards to customers renewing them or applying for a new one. The agency will also introduce a new design for these credentials as part of a continuing effort to help prevent identity theft.
